The No Scratch® Bike Rack Difference

Why No Scratch®?

We are avid cyclists ourselves, and have experienced damage to our bicycles caused by bike racks. This is why we set out to improve the bike rack by incorporating a firm, but non-scratching thermoplastic bumper. We manufacture four (4) styles of horizontal bike parking racks with an integrated No Scratch® Bumper: Tofino, Westport, Omnium, and Oahu. We also offer three different configurations of Vertical+ bike racks with an adhered No Scratch® Bumper.

Horizontal

The No Scratch bumper is assembled into these racks, so it is an integral part of the product, thereby making it incredibly vandal-resistant.

We also chose to incorporate rectangular tubing in the bike rack's construction, which makes it highly resistant to pipe cutters. The No Scratch® bumper itself is made of Santoprene®, an extremely tough, UV stable, fade and crack resistant, material. And, Santoprene® is 100% recyclable.

Vertical

The No Scratch® bumper is adhered to Sportworks' Vertical+ racks to protect the bike forks and the bike frame.

Like the horizontal No Scratch® bike parking racks, we also chose to incorporate rectangular tubing, to make the rack resistant to vandalism. The No Scratch® bumper itself is made of Polyurethane and, like Santoprene, is an extremely tough, UV stable, fade and crack resistant, material.

Additionally, the bumper is adhered to the vertical support with a very high bond (VHB) 3M product, adding yet another level of vandal resistance.
