Reporting directly to the Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Sportworks is seeking an onsite resourceful and driven Product Manager to help us shape the product strategy and portfolio for our bike parking solutions. If you are passionate about enabling bicycling as a preferred transportation alternative, this is an amazing opportunity to apply your critical thinking, curiosity, and creativity in supporting global markets, including municipalities and transit authorities, government, university, retail, school and corporate campuses, residential and mixed use.

 

What YOU will do:

•         Develop and drive execution of a world class product portfolio!

•         Be a key contributor to the vision and strategic planning of our bike parking segment.

•         Apply your skills in market research to develop deep knowledge of customer workflows and unmet needs, as well as the market and competitive landscape; learn from voice of the customer and from industry associations and thought leaders.

•         Translate learning into insightful market segmentation, breakthrough business models, and develop unique and compelling customer value propositions and solutions.

•         Build detailed business case for new product introductions.

•         Own strategy and execution of product life cycle, product pricing and positioning, margin, product line revenue/growth, share and market penetration.

•         Provide expertise and support to the marketing team to develop compelling customer and category messaging, demand generation and campaign support as a subject matter expert for the bike parking segment.

•         Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, and finance as a product owner to drive results.

•         Provide expertise and support to growth execution by working closely with the sales team as a subject matter expert for customer meetings, sales funnel reviews, commercial problem solving, and learning.

•         Provide direction, product requirements and support to the engineering team by defining roadmap priorities, product requirements, and trade-off decisions.

•         Champion the product roadmap to balance short-term and strategic long-term goals.

•         A key contributor in the decision process for partnership and technology selection and acquisitions.


Qualifications for Success:

•         Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences, engineering, or computer science; MBA or advanced marketing degree preferred.

•         3-5 years of experience in marketing or engineering.

•         Strong market research experience.

•         Experience with locally designed and manufactured products.

•         Inspired by solving meaningful and complex customer and market challenges as well as innovative technology and ideas.

•         Technology proficient – ERP and CRM, MS Office suite (particularly Excel).

•         On average once a month, able to meet with customers, attend trade shows or events.

•         Eligible to work in the US.
