Wheel Gripping Mechanism

As the only rack on the market to offer this feature, this is a defining characteristic of the innovative design for these high-density, double decker bike racks. As a bicycle is loaded into the rack, the padded gripping mechanism automatically locks around the wheel and secures it in place. As you continue to push, it releases from the front wheel and gently secures the rear wheel. This is a significant benefit over other racks as it ensures that if an extended rack is accidentally dropped, the bike will be securely held in place. Again, this is a benefit that no other rack can offer.

Movable Security Bar

As every bike is of a different shape and size, ensuring that the rack is easy to use and free of obstacles is of utmost importance. The Josta® 2-tier rack has integral to its design, a movable locking bar that pivots out of the way when the rack is not in use and lays parallel to the wheel channel.

Pivoting Channel

Unlike many other racks on the market, the Josta® 2-tier rack has an extending, pivoting channel that greatly helps with bicycle loading and unloading. Because of the engineering and design that has gone into this rack, the rack has a unique "sweet spot" that allows any user to easily lift and maneuver the rack.

Gas Assisted

To further enhance the usability of the product, Josta has incorporated a gas cylinder into the rack design which eliminates moving parts that have the potential to catch fingers, clothes, etc.
